Press Operator

We are currently recruiting Press Operators to join a busy manufacturing team. This is an excellent opportunity for reliable individuals with previous production or press operating experience who are looking for long-term work with excellent overtime opportunities.

Shift Patterns

Rotating Shifts

• 06:00 – 14:00
• 14:00 – 22:00

Night Shift

• 22:00 – 06:00

Pay Rates

Rotating Shifts

• Band 1: £13.68 per hour
• Band 2: £14.18 per hour (following successful completion of additional skills training and sign-off)

Night Shift

• Band 1: £15.37 per hour
• Band 2: £15.87 per hour (following successful completion of additional skills training and sign-off)

Overtime Rates

• Weekdays: Time and a half
• Saturdays: Time and a half
• Sundays: Double time

Key Responsibilities

• Operating press machinery safely and efficiently.
• Loading materials and removing finished components.
• Carrying out quality inspections to ensure products meet specifications.
• Setting up machines where trained and authorised.
• Monitoring machine performance and reporting any faults or issues.
• Maintaining a clean and organised work area.
• Following health and safety procedures at all times.
• Completing production documentation accurately.
• Working as part of a team to meet production targets and deadlines.

Requirements

• Previous experience operating press machines or working in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work rotating or permanent night shifts.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Reliable, punctual and safety-conscious.
• Willingness to undertake additional training to progress to Band 2.
